The Julie Nielsen Scholarship will be awarded to an Evergreen Chapter Member in 2018. The Scholarship award of $3500 can be used for CMAA National Dues, registration and travel expenses for CMAA World Conference, Mid Managers Conference or BMI's.
The Mission of the Evergreen Chapter is to provide opportunities and relevant resources to help our Members and their Clubs be successful. Awarding funds for Member professional growth serves and advances our Chapter Mission.
Who was Julie Nielsen? Julie Nielsen, CCM, CHE, was an accomplished General Manager, hospitality educator, team builder and leader. Julie thrived on finding, developing and supporting talented individuals. She created vibrant teams and believed in the pursuit of excellence through continuous education and professional development. She began her career at Seattle Tennis Club while a student at UW. She was Manager at Everett Golf & Country Club & General Manager at Sand Point Country Club. She married her college sweetheart, was the mother of 2, and died from Breast Cancer before her 40th Birthday.

Who Should Apply? Any current member of the Evergreen Chapter who is an AGM, Clubhouse Manager or Department Manager is encouraged to apply. The candidate must have been an active Chapter participant for the past year and dedicated to continuing their education in Club Management
Applications are due by June 1. Winner will be announced by July 15.
