​Congratulations to Eddy Carrell, awarded the 2019 Evergreen Chapter CMAA Nielsen-Hollister Scholarship.
Eddy exemplifies professionalism in the industry, commitment to his on-going education and leadership.
​He is often the first to arrive at a meeting or tournament and ask, “what do you need me to do”. He has worked behind the scenes for years volunteering time to post pictures on the club’s Facebook page. Earning the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation is the next stop on his professional journey. This scholarship will allow him to attend an upcoming Business Management Institute or World Conference which will get him one step closer attaining his CCM - Certified Club Manager.

The Evergreen Chapter Scholarship is named in remembrance of Julie Nielsen, CCM, CHE and Bob Hollister, CCM. Both were accomplished General Managers, team builders and leaders in the private club industry. Julie thrived on finding, developing and supporting talented individuals. She created vibrant teams and believed in the pursuit of excellence through continuous education and professional development. Bob excelled at developing and supporting talented individuals and said the most rewarding aspect of his career was “working with young people aspiring to make Club Management their career”. He is personally responsible for launching the careers of eight successful General Managers.
The scholarship  provides financial support to Evergreen Chapter CMAA Members interested in furthering their professional development. It offers the opportunity to attend the CMAA World Conference, CMAA Food & Beverage Workshop, a BMI or a CMAA Chapter Regional Conference.
